This was the last event held on the Northeast River. There were a few teams still had a shot at the Points title. The team of Tom & Jimmy Rufenacht came in with the bag to beat with a 21.16 lbs bag full of good largmouths. This team did all they could in hopes of winning the Points title back to back years. Their checks for 1st Place & 1st Place Bonus bucks came to $871.50.
Finishing in 2nd Place was the team of John Dell and Robert Wolf. Their 5 bass weighed in at 18.88 lbs and they claimed 2nd Place checks for $428.
Lew Boulden and Rick Rush finished in 3rd place with 5 bass – 18.71 lbs. Lew & Rick claimed 3rd place checks, 2nd Place Bonus Bucks and 1st Place Big Bass (5.79 lbs)for a total of $340.50.
Rounding out the top 5 were Paul Wiley and Jon Crans with 18.39 lbs and Buzz & Buzz Billings with 17.46 lbs.
Paul and Jon had the points lead going into the final event. With nerves on the line, Paul and Jon finished in 4th place which gave them the points title for the 2013 Maryland Division. Paul and Jon finished with 986 points out of a possible 1000 points in the 5 event season. They had two 4th Place finishes, one 1st place, one 2nd place and an 8th place finish. Their consistency won them $305 for the Points Pot. Congratulations to Jon and Paul.
